Are you a big Pokemon fan looking to plan the ultimate Pokemon Themed party? Or planning a party for your child who loves pokemons? A pokemon themed party need not be a birthday, it can be even a anniversary, or just a gathering to have some fun with friends and family.
Recently, we have seen a lot of clients (erm… every week?) organising Pokemon parties for their children’s birthday so we thought we share some ideas and of course, you can also need our packages too!
Here are some ideas to help you plan the perfect Pokemon party:
Choose a Venue –
The first step in planning any party is to choose a venue. You can host your Pokemon party at home or in a park. With Singapore’s unpredictable weather, my take is to have an indoor and outdoor area booked. Why outdoor? An outdoor space will allow children to run around to catch ’em all!
Design a Pokemon e-invite
Create a guest list and start inviting people!
With canva or online program, it is easy to create your own e-invite. Design it as though your child is a Pokemon?
If you book our Pokemon package, you also get a free e-invite too!
Get a Pokemon Cake!
What is a a birthday party without a cake! You can get a 10% discount at Bob The Baker Boy with my exclusive promo code: BTBBOTTLE10. See some Pokemon cakes here.
Serve Pokemon-inspired food
The food is one of the most exciting parts of any party.
For your Pokemon party, you can serve a variety of Pokemon-inspired foods such as Pikachu-shaped cookies, Pokeball cake pops, and Jigglypuff marshmallows. You can also serve traditional party foods such as pizza and sandwiches, but give them creative Pokemon-themed names like “Pikachu Pizza” and “Charizard Chicken Sandwiches.”
Decorate with Pokemon-themed items
To set the mood for your Pokemon party, you’ll want to decorate with Pokemon-themed items such as balloons, banners, and tablecloths. Choose bright colours for your balloons or colours of Pokeball like white, red, and black. You can customise your own banner with birthday child’s name easily with our design and print service.
You can also create your own decorations by printing out pictures of your favorite Pokemon and hanging them up around the party space. An easy way to decorate is to use your stuffed toys of the pocket monsters which you may already have.
Of course, if you want something for elaborate, we have our team of inhouse designer to help you design your banners and backdrops.
Get a Pokemon mascot
Get your guests in the Pokemon spirit by encouraging them to dress up as their favorite Pokemon like a Pikachu Mascot or Pokemon trainers. This adds an element of fun to the party and creates a cohesive theme. If you don’t want to go all out with a costume, you can still wear a Pokemon hat, t-shirt, or other accessories.
Play Pokemon-themed games
No Pokemon themed party is complete without games. You can set up a Pokemon trivia game, a Pokemon scavenger hunt, or a Pokemon-themed relay race. You can also set up a Pokemon video game station for guests to play.
As per demand, we have created Pokemon trainer games and challenges so we can “train” your kids to be Pokemon trainers! We also have our exclusive Pokemon hunt for kids to catch’em all!
Get an experienced balloon sculptor and facepainter for fringe activities
Get fringe activities like facepainting and balloon twisting.
Our experienced Balloon Sculptor can make the Pokemons! However, we must admit that making Pokemon takes a long time so if you have a lot of children, book our sculptor for 2-3 hours!
Do a Pokemon craft
If you want a quieter pokemon themed party, have a pokemon themed art & craft as a sit-down activity. Some ideas include:
- Pencil holder
- Design your own pokemon cards
- Make a Pokemon papercraft (download here)
- Pokemon Keychains using shrink art.
Send guests home with Pokemon-themed party favors
As a fun way to end the party, send your guests home with a Pokemon-themed party favor. You can include items such as Pokemon cards, keychains, or stickers. You can also create your own DIY party favors such as homemade Pokeballs filled with candy. Remember, the key to a successful Pokemon party is to have fun and embrace the theme. With these tips, you will surely have a memorable party that everyone will enjoy.
