Overview
We recently designed and executed a Kids at Work experience for a leading global cybersecurity company. The objective was clear: engage employees’ families, introduce children to cybersecurity concepts in an age-appropriate way, and strengthen the connection between staff and the company’s mission of protecting the digital world.
The result? A 100-participant (children and adults) immersive event that combined fun, learning, and memorable moments — and a very happy client.

Our Objectives for Client’s Children at Work Event:
- Engage families in the company’s cybersecurity culture
- Educate children on safe digital habits through hands-on activities
- Create team bonding for employees, spouses, and kids
- Deliver a unique Kids at Work day that reflects the brand’s mission and company’s core values.

Event Concept: Operation Cyber Detectives
Children became junior “cyber detectives,” tasked with uncovering and neutralising cyber threats across the office. The storyline encouraged problem-solving, teamwork, and imagination while sneaking in core cybersecurity lessons.
Highlights of Cybersecurity Kids@Work Event
- Cyber Threat Investigation Hunt: 5 interactive stations including Phishing Alert, Malware Lab, Infected USB Mystery, Password Fortress, and Firewall Maze.
- Badge Making & Photo Booth: Kids created personalised agent badges and snapped themed photos.
- Magic Show by Mr Bottle Finale: A fun performance with laughter and wonder.
- Rescue Ceremony: Children received Cyber Detective Certificates celebrating their success as the next generation of cyber defenders.
- Younger children are not left out, as we got a balloon dome to keep them occupied.
- Families got to bring home caricatures as souvenirs, so even those without children enjoyed the activities too.

Impact & Feedback from our Cybersecurity Kids at Work Event
- Over 40 children actively participated in the cyber hunt, each learning how to spot threats like phishing emails, malware, and unsafe USBs.
- Parents loved that the activities were both educational and engaging, sparking conversations about online safety at home.
- The client praised the event for being on-brand, meaningful, and fun, noting it was one of the most memorable Kids at Work days to date.
Why This Works for Cybersecurity Companies
Cybersecurity is often abstract for children — but through gamification, storytelling, and play, we make it relatable. By aligning activities with a company’s mission, Kids at Work days can:
- Showcase corporate values in a family-friendly format
- Educate the next generation on digital safety
- Build pride and loyalty among employees
- Create lasting memories that reinforce the company’s culture

Looking Ahead
This case study shows how a cybersecurity-themed Kids at Work day can be both entertaining and impactful. Whether it’s family days, corporate activations, or community outreach, our Operation Cyber Detectives concept can be customised for any organisation looking to bring their cybersecurity mission to life.
