Colour Blocks Escape Magic Trick

Colour Blocks Escape is an easy-to-do mentalism magic trick suitable for kids. The magic is baffling and the secret encourages children to think out of the box.

What it looks like: The magician opens the box and shows different colour blocks with a pin. He pulls out the pin and the blocks fall out. The audience chooses 2 colours. The magician puts back everything and closes the box. He shows the audience that all the blocks are inside by showing them through the holes on the top of the box. (i.e. No piece is held in the hand.)

The pin is put back into the box. In other words, the pin is holding the blocks. The magician says the magic word. He opens the box. Surprisingly, 2 selected colours block drop out from the box while the pin is still there! 

Alternative ending: The audience chooses 2 of his favourite colours. They are place in the box with the pin through them. With a magical gesture, 4 blocks drop out. The selected 2 colours are the only ones which are still held by the pin.
