Professor Messy has performed his science show incorporating interaction, magic as well as lots of comedy for the past 18 years. Watched by thousands of kids, his science experiment has transformed them into science lovers!
One of the most popular Professor Messy’s TikTok videos on making ice cream using science was featured on BBC recently.
He also performed for clients like Sentosa, A*Star, Ritz Carlton and renowned consultant Kevin Roberts.

Q: What age group is the science show suitable for?
A: The show is best suited for children aged 4 to 12, but older kids and even adults often find it just as entertaining and educational. We adapt the presentation style to suit the audience’s age range.
Q: Is the Science show educational or purely entertainment?
A: It’s both! Kids learn real science principles like density, air pressure, chemical reactions, Newtonian fluids, and more — all while laughing and participating in hands-on fun. Even teachers and parents often say they learned something new!
Q: How long is the Science performance?
Q: Is audience participation involved?
A: Yes! The show is highly interactive. Children are encouraged to volunteer, predict outcomes, and even help with experiments (in a safe and controlled way).
Q: Do you use fire, smoke, or dangerous chemicals?
Safety is our top priority. We do not use open flames or hazardous chemicals. All demonstrations are carefully designed to be safe for indoor spaces and young children, using everyday science materials with theatrical flair.
Q: Can this be done in a classroom or small space?
Absolutely. The show is designed to be flexible — it works well in classrooms, party rooms, function halls, libraries, or even large living rooms.
Q: Can the science show be themed to my event (e.g. SG60, sustainability, or space)?
Yes! We offer custom-themed science shows upon request. Professor Messy can align the experiments and storytelling to themes like Time Travel, Earth & Sustainability, Singapore’s Progress, and more.
Do you need any special setup or equipment?
We bring all the necessary materials. All we need from you is:
A table for our props
Access to electricity
A sheltered space (if outdoors)
Chairs or a seated area (on the floor is fine too) for the audience, if preferred
Q: Is the show suitable for bigger events like family day or school assemblies?
A: Yes, we have done this at many schools and events. We focus a lot on entertainment and hence work on small parties and bigger events.
The content in our Science Show for our Birthday party and school also differ slightly.
We also have a customized theatre show using dry ice and elephant toothpaste. Let us know if you are keen on these!

Q: The science packages cater to only 5-8 children. Why?
A: If we were to come up with a package with more children, it also means that the package will be more expensive. We hope to keep it affordable for everyone. Hence parents can still select the package based on the budget which works for them.
Q: I have many children coming to the party, so if I were to add the science workshops, it seems expensive.
A: The additional cost per pax is to cover the material costs of the workshops as well as the goodie bags. Feel free to customise your own package to suit your crowd. For instance, our interactive games and science show package is only $750, and is not dependent on the number of children, hence may be more economical on this scale. You can also opt out of the goodie boxes.

We put the fun into our science workshops! Children learn about the science behind it, we even gamify the workshop with quizzes, competitions and more!
- Super Bubble Solution Making – There’s something magical about a bubble. It’s just a little puff of air trapped in a thin film of soap and water, but its precise spherical shape and beautiful, swirling colours make it a true wonder of science. A bubble’s life expectancy is usually measured in seconds unless you know how to make a SUPER BUBBLE!
- Boomerang Making – What goes around, comes around? A boomerang! Learn how to make and throw a paper boomerang!
- Slime Making – Children just love Slime! They get their hands dirty to make their own coloured slime and learn about the science of bonds and viscosity. Best of all, they get to bring their DIY slime home. Our special formula does NOT use borax hence safe for children’s sensitive skin.
- Lava Lamp Making – Make your own lava lamp and learn about the reactions of chemicals (N.B. LED lights not included to take home for this experiment.)
- Catapult Making – A fun and exciting workshop in which children learn about levers and energy as they make their own catapult using rubber bands, ice cream sticks, spoons and ping-pong balls.

- Terrarium Workshop (45min) – Learn about the ecosystem and how it can sustain itself.
- Greeting Card with Lights (30-45min) – Learn about electricity as well as the flow of electrons providing electric current in this cool craft experiment.
- Ice Cream Making Workshop – Make the kids scream with excitement! Children love ice cream and the thought of them eating the fruit of their labour is going to be so cool!
